O7- instilling values and the development of attitudes related to the morals and behavior of active citizenship and democratic commitment O8- holistic and cross-curricular approach and understanding of issues such as: human rights, solutions to humanity's problems, democracy, social equality, peace and international cooperation.
The main focus of the project was the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the rationale behind them. Young people realized the importance of saving the world we live in, made their voices heard by expressing their opinions, learned to distinguish fake news, acquired or strengthened their digital skills and learned to be activists to bring about change in and through themselves. They learned to be active citizens who stand up for their rights, respect their obligations and speak their minds. Our goal was to make young people aware of the importance of activism (regardless of politics, group or other interference), of the power that European projects have in a democratic society and that this power must be used fairly and ethically for the benefit of the whole society, regardless of sex, colour, culture, generation, religion, sexual orientation, race, minority group or other factors. We combined activism and the Sustainable Development Goals with the use of digital tools, to educate young European citizens how to use them effectively and creatively, to increase self-awareness and a sense of responsibility for the greater good of society.
