Objectives

We wanted to learn how to organize classes in nature in all weather conditions, with as many examples of good practice as possible. Make classes interesting so that students acquire more permanent knowledge. Realize integrative teaching in an ambient environment in all subjects. To prepare the seminar, to accredit it and then to transfer our experiences to colleagues throughout our country. By staying in Finland, we wanted to get to know another culture and educational system that has been on the world's list of the most successful for many years. To enrich and expand our experiences in working with students through examples of good practice, but also to acquire reliable partners with whom we would continue cooperation through more complex projects (KA210), in which students would also participate.

Background

The project is compatible with the vision, as well as activities related to the European standards of the school's work quality. The vision of the school "Knowledge is power" develops knowledge that allows each student to develop their maximum in accordance with individual capabilities. The school environment provides numerous ways of teaching in nature in all seasons. Direct contact with nature, learning in the environment using obvious teaching aids is a priority in the work of the nature subject group, and now it is extended to the work of social subjects and arts and skills. Through innovative teaching, we encourage tolerance and respect differences. The previous project influenced the motivation of teachers and students for this way of working, this project enables further upgrading of knowledge and professional training of teachers. Fieldwork, data processing and analysis are available for participation, and other schools contribute to the development of digital competences through mobile applications and platforms. The teachers created high-quality, integrative scenarios for teaching in the priory, as an integral part of the training activities of other teachers through the implementation of seminars under the same name.
