The realization of our project involved four key goals - acquiring skills in 3D printing, in programming smart devices and the concept of smart houses, inclusion, and mastering language competencies in the domain of vocational terminology in English language. Students from the mechatronics study program went through a two-week training on 3D printers, during which they improved their knowledge of using software packages for 3D modeling, and applied them in the 3D printing process using adequate software tools. IT students underwent a two-week training in smart device programming, during which they were introduced to the concept of control systems, controllers, their programming and implementation in the field of modern housing - smart light bulbs, alarms, etc. Our project had a distinctly inclusive note, and we would like to mention that out of 18 students, 8 of them participated in mobility on various grounds of inclusion - children from poor families, rural areas, etc. Finally, the mastery of professional terminology in English is a long-term goal of school defined by the European Development Plan by which we aim for school students to use vocational terms in English language in daily work.
Technical school in Pirot is in the process of modernizing the teaching content in all areas of work - electrical, mechanical and traffic engineering. The school has already done a lot when it comes to the acquisition of modern equipment for carrying out exercises, and the implementation of modern technologies in the regular teaching process. Considering the fact that the world is in the age of the 4th industrial revolution, the topic of this project was naturally imposed. Our desire was to present the students of our school with some of the technologies that are an integral part of the competencies related to the 4th industrial revolution through the implementation of this mobility project. Therefore, we selected students from two study programs of our school - mechatronics technician and IT technician. The goal of the project was for the students to acquire part of the skills from Industry 4.0 through the two-week course - specifically, it is about 3D printing, and programming of smart devices through the concept of smart houses. Our plan is that in the coming period the school will acquire specific equipment for performing practical exercises in these areas and that we will continue to apply these skills in regular classes.
