Objectives

With this project we want to: -Improve the teaching of VET subjects in the field of woodworking so that it allows our students to improve professional, language, digital and key competencies such as communication, cooperation, problem solving and entrepreneurship. This would result in better academic performance and career advancement opportunities for students, increased confidence in their work, while teachers would enhance their teaching methods, become more student-oriented, expand career development opportunities and personal satisfaction in their work, exchange experiences, and acquire new ones. The stay of teachers at LMA would allow them to gain a more detailed and direct understanding of their work methods and explore possibilities for their implementation in our school. The stay of students would enable them to gain specific work experience and to specifically assess the adaptation possibilities of our students to a different working system. -Increase the School capacity for Internationalization so that our students and teachers become familiar with the opportunities offered by European projects, aware of EU values, open to other cultures; improve their intercultural competencies and capacity to participate in EU project

Background

Our school is a vocational and artistic high school. It has 501 regular students, out of which 247 are in the field of wood industry - the direct target group of the Project. In addition to regular students, we also have part-time students, as well as retraining and qualification upgrade programs. Currently, we are the only school in our country certified for recognition of prior learning for the qualification of carpenter. We applied for this project because we wanted to address some of the needs and challenges our school faces, including insufficient development of professional competences of students in the wood processing department, the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills and the need to better prepare students for real work conditions within the school. We believed that we could learn from Lycee des metiers d'Art in this area, and it has proven to be true. Secondly, considering that we are already recognized as a school with developed international cooperation, we wanted to maintain the existing level and to improve it by introducing new activities in mobility projects, as well as participating in other types of projects within the Erasmus+ program and involving new partners in the international activities
