Internationalization of higher education is an inevitable process required for inclusion in the unique European educational area, and mobility of students, teachers and non-teaching staff is one of the pillars of that process. That is why the participation in mobility projects is expected to enable the University of Niš more extensive involvement in the contemporary trends of inter-university cooperation in the region, Europe and the world, leading to transformation into an international university that provides its students with high level of knowledge and enables them to contribute to a global progress. The mobility provides chances to gain new knowledge, establish new contacts and learn about other educational systems and institutions. Learning through mobility helps students increase their professional, social and intercultural skills, as well as their chances of getting employed, while improving their ability to perform in various environments. Teachers are the bearers of internationalization and must be well trained to educate students to compete at the international level. The participation of non-teaching staff is important for supporting the internationalization process, which must be provided in a professional manner based on European standards. Hence, it is clear that our goal is to maximize participation in mobility projects among students, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
