Objectives

This mobility project contributed to Lund University (LU) reaching its ambitious goals and vision. LU is an international university, popular with international students and with extensive international collaborations. The university´s vision is to be a world-class university that works to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition. The Strategic Plan 2017-2026 of LU is the base for all its activities and internationalisation is one of the university's six prioritised areas. As a complement to the Strategic plan and LU’s other strategic activities, LU has developed the Platform for strategic work. “Democracy and global engagement” is one of the four prioritised strategic development areas of the platform. One of the corner stones for internationalisation and global engagement is the mobility of students and staff, both incoming and outgoing. Students and staff from LU engage in exchanges with other European (and non-European) universities through Erasmus+, enhancing international collaboration and diverse learning experiences. LU’s action plan for internationalisation 2019-2021 specifically addressed facilitating mobility for students and staff. Results from this action plan have been implemented and contribute to increased student and staff mobility.
