Objectives

In our Erasmus Policy Statement and the Karolinska Institutet (KI) strategy 2030, the importance of internationalization is emphasized. Broad international cooperation and exchange will help us in upcoming tasks and challenges as we learn and develop. This is required to address critical questions concerning the future of the healthcare sector and to strive for one of our main goals: better health for all. Internationalization, i e all activities bringing an international dimension to all parts of our university and into our classrooms, is essential for maintaining and increasing the quality of higher education on all levels. It will prepare us better for the fast-changing world we live in and help us to react faster. It will also help us to attract and keep the most prominent students and staff world-wide. The long-term benefit and objective of the project, together with other internationalization activities at KI, is to contribute to meeting the above overall aim. Internationalization is an ongoing process that should run through all aspects and levels of the university. Participation in programmes as Erasmus+ also helps us fulfill some of the goals in the Modernization Agenda.
