Delivering on our strategic commitment to global engagement requires that we foster globally competent students, facilitate research that addresses and has impact on global challenges, work actively with international collaboration and global outreach and ensure that our academic environments and activities promote an inclusive global university for all. Malmö University’s fundamental strategy documents, Strategy 2022 and Agenda for Global Engagement 2020-2026, are in line with the vision of the European Education Area and the aims underpinning the Erasmus+ programme. Erasmus+ is imperative for enabling both our own and incoming students and staff to benefit and learn from international collaborations and exchange. The same to fulfill Malmö University’s underlying strategic objective to provide high-quality education and research through which, in collaboration with other societal actors, the university creates, shares and disseminates knowledge to understand, explain and develop society. The Erasmus+ programme contributes to common denominators, structures, references and trust within the European Union. We have a focus on building strong European collaborations and do this even further through Erasmus+, our ‘Kraftsamling Europa’ (Focus EUrope) and our European Universities Inititative: The European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition (UNIC).
