Objectives

Kristianstad University (HKR) is dedicated to boosting international mobility and fostering an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration between students and staff. This commitment promotes cross-cultural understanding, human rights, and sustainable resource use globally. Aligned with its International Strategy, EPS, and the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, HKR aims to enhance the quality and appeal of its programs. The Erasmus+ Project is highly valued at HKR, as it not only supports outbound mobility for students and staff but also fosters collaboration and enrichment with its Erasmus+ partners. Inbound mobility is equally important to HKR, as it helps internationalise those who do not participate in outbound mobility, promoting "Internationalisation at Home." As courses for inbound exchange students are mostly offered within programs offered at Kristianstad University this contributes to mutual and valuable experiences that can be applied directly to education. It also contributes to the development of an international perspective in educational plans and curricula, and participants report increased awareness, tolerance, mutual respect, and understanding.
