The University of Gävle regards the Erasmus+ program as an essential tool in achieving the operational goals presented in the University’s Education and Research Strategy (2021- 2030) and as necessary to improving competence and quality in an inclusive and sustainable way. Both operational goals have a clear international component, and three of the six strategies to achieve these goals include sustainable, internationally oriented education and research, long-term collaborative partnerships, as well as innovative and digital learning environments, all of which are in line with Erasmus+ principles. During Call 2021, the university became a member of the European University Alliance EU GREEN which focuses on international cooperation and mobility with a strong focus on social inclusion and the green and digital transition. Within EU GREEN we continue to advance in the development of long-term partnerships for the benefit for all students and staff. In agreement with the goals and strategies of our institution, our goal for this project (call 2022) continued to focus on encouraging more students to participate in mobility in different forms and to invest in staff training from all bodies and units of our organization.
