Objectives

Chalmers University of Technology's Erasmus+ work is deeply intertwined with the priorities for higher education at the European level. The EU aspires to create a European Education Area highlighting digitalisation, inclusion, skills development connected with the needs of the labour market, and networks of European universities.Chalmers has two main strategies related to student and staff mobility: the Erasmus Policy Statement and an internationalisation strategy for education. Recently implemented, the latter has been developed collaboratively between the Deans of education, Chalmers International Mobility team, and departmental representation. Its main implication is that all students at Chalmers upon graduation should have received intercultural competences. It is rooted in strong cooperation with universities, enterprises, and society around the world, confirming our excellence in education, research, and innovation. Chalmers selects strategic partners in selected regions according to their quality values and competitiveness. Moreover, Chalmers' has a renewed vision to take significant steps towards developing into a world-class university over the next 20 years, including academic quality at the highest European level.
