In the field of opera education, the partner institutions Stockholms konstnärliga högskola (SKH) and Tblisi State Conservatoire (TSC) have a long history of collaboration through exchange programs - both via Erasmus+ and the former Linnaeus-Palme programme, supported by the Swedish International Development Agency. Opera was identified in the application as a distinct focus area, in which cooperation holds significant cultural and artistic value for the partners, values considered highly desirable and relevant. Within this overarching field, three key focus areas were identified to deepen collaboration and explore more specific methods: - Capacity-building for artistic research - Exchange of experience in opera coach training and collaborative piano within higher education - Student-centred learning – pedagogical methods aimed at enhancing student inclusion and initiative in music-dramatic interpretation in opera
