This International Credit Mobility project has significantly contributed to Lund University's strategic efforts to strengthen its global engagement and international profile. As a university with a strong commitment to internationalisation, Lund University actively collaborates with institutions worldwide and attracts students and staff from across the globe. The project aligns with Lund University's vision to be a world-class university that works to understand, explain, and improve our world and the human condition. Internationalisation is one of the six prioritised areas in the university’s Strategic Plan 2017–2026, and the Platform for Strategic Work further highlights “Democracy and global engagement” as one of four prioritised strategic development areas of the platform. By facilitating student and staff exchanges with partner institutions in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Ukraine, this mobility project has fostered intercultural learning, strengthened academic cooperation beyond the EU/EEA. The project has supported capacity building and enhanced internationalisation efforts at the partner institutions and Lund University and the partner institutions have benefited from exposure to new pedagogical approaches.
