Uppsala University’s participation in the Erasmus programme is set up to fulfil the overall goals expressed in “Mission, Goals and Strategies”, where internationalization is recognized as one of the strategic priorities. This is also reflected in our Erasmus Policy Statement. The main driver of quality and skill is internationalization and thus we encourage participation of students and staff in international activities. Participation in international activities is enhanced by the implementation of new opportunities offered by Erasmus. We are aware that a global world faces new global challenges and thus we are committed to involve and enhance all key priorities within the Erasmus programme to the greatest extent possible. Uppsala University is committed to full implementation of the digitalization of mobility management by digitalizing documents and administration; promoting sustainable means of travel by providing additional grants; and promoting doctoral mobility to boost the synergy between higher education and research and innovation. This ensures that all students and staff, regardless of their study program constraints or employment backgrounds, can gain valuable international experience.
