By implementing the BeatBurnout (BB) project, the first objective was to understand how women as a group perceived remote work and the unique challenges they faced, particularly in relation to burnout. Through this understanding, we aimed to develop materials that not only highlighted the specific risks women encounter but could also be applied to all employees. Additionally, a key goal was to equip managers with the knowledge and tools to recognize and address burnout early, enabling them to take more proactive measures in supporting their teams, and even though we reached a limited number of HR/Leaders the material is there and free to use for anyone.
The decision to apply for the BeatBurnout (BB) project was driven by the urgent need to address the growing challenges faced by women and managers in remote and hybrid work environments, particularly in light of increasing burnout rates. The pandemic accelerated the shift to remote work, and while it offered flexibility, it also introduced significant risks to mental health, especially for women, who are more likely to face burnout due to juggling work and personal responsibilities. Additionally, managers and HR professionals still don't know how to handle or how to prevent burnout.
