Through Erasmus+ and our accreditation we want to reach more young people in the municipality, to our open youth work, increase young people's participation and the opportunity to shape their free time. We hope that in collaboration with organizations and municipalities in Europe we can shape and further develop working methods that lead to increased youth influence and strengthened citizenship for young people. Underrepresented groups are a priority for us, and through Erasmus+ we want to give more young people the opportunity to experience, discover and learn in exchanges with European countries. And by working with staff mobility projects we want to reach the same goals by develop our skills among the youth workers by leraning and be inspired by others around Europe. Due to the situation in Ukraine we choose to use one our activities to invite youth workers from Ukraine to support them in their on going youth work in times of war in their country. We also wanted to use this first year of our accreditation to spread knowledge about Erasmus+ internally in our organisation both for the personnel and the politicians in the municipality of Haninge. We needed to get more experience about international youth work in both those areas so our work with Erasmus+ isn’t depending on a few people with this experience so we can ensure this will be a long-term focus in our youth work for many years ahead. For the objectives we set in our application we choose to focus on objective nr. 5 -”Increased youth participation with digital tools” for both the youth exchange and for the staff mobilities we implemented this first year.
