Objectives

The objectives of our project were multifaceted. Primarily, we aimed to delve deeper into the sense of European identity, belonging, and citizenship. The project sought to stimulate concrete and effective actions of active participation starting from the local context. Through discussions with our partners, common needs emerged: Raise knowledge and awareness about European citizenship and active participation. Foster intercultural dialogue, promote European values, and enhance social inclusion. Illuminate the rights and duties arising from membership in the European Union. Equip young people with tools for active participation in political, social, and cultural life. Explore international mobility programs in education, training, and youth. To address these needs, we collectively decided that developing a training course was the most effective approach. The course aimed to provide space for exploring and discussing Europe from various perspectives, including those of youth workers, institutions, and young people. The overarching goal was to empower young people to understand Europe, influence its future, and actively participate in decision-making processes at both local and European levels. Additionally, the training aimed to promote cultural diversity, enhance participants' sense of European cohesion and citizenship, and equip them with tools, methods, and specific skills for active engagement in European social, cultural, and political life. The ultimate objective was to reinforce cooperation and share good practices among the project partners.
