Objectives

Create a workshop program, a concept with relevant informal real life activities and methods that works with the target group NEETs and school youngsters (early prevention). The LENE 2.o activities are also a first step to apply for entrepreneurial mobilities and enable the sending and receiving of youngsters from Småland internationally - as stays abroad are the best learning environments. LENE 2.o enabled our Coordination Europe (CE) staff, entrepreneurs and teachers to further educate themselves through the research of best practice, collaboration and experience exchange with international partners, the implementation of several workshops with the target groups (in total 107 youngsters !) and the evaluation of activities and creation of the LENE 2.o Guideline. Now CE would like to extend the workshops to further schools to gain more experience and fine tune the concept (methods and activities) and ideally roll-out this way of working to many schools in Sweden. Youngsters learn relevant skills through the LENE Concept!

Background

In our work with young adults we have noticed that some youngsters don't fit into "normal" structures, these youngsters are more entrepreneurially spirited. Increasingly, we have noticed what a good tool entrepreneurship can be to empower, activate and provide youngsters with basic business acumen - directly related to their activities in their local environment. Entrepreneurship enables us to focus on positive topics and strengths. But we needed a relevant workshop program with activities for the target group and involved stakeholders. Early prevention increasingly became an inspiration and to modernise schools textile- and woodcraft units; they have such potential and are strongly connected with entrepreneurship. LENE 2.o enabled us to develop activities and methods together with experts and test them directly with the target groups.
