Objectives

While creating the project we established four thematic goals, all of which were to be achieved via the mobility project. Three of the goals referred to co-curricular activities, ie. the increase in active cooperation of students in these activities; how to include contents which re-inforce key life competences; themes which address the gifted students, and how to connect all these activities with the local environment. One goal however focused on class activities where we would work on inclusion of diversity, empathy, self-care and personal flexibility.

Background

Ledina high school is an institution with more than 800 students and 50 members of staff. The school vision is based on good relations on all levels and the possibility to fully develop the potential of each individual. While analysing the present state of affairs we have come to realise that there are two key areas which we want to explore in our project. After the pandemic and distant learning period we noticed a substantial drop of students’ motivation in co-curricular activities on one hand, and on the other a rise in personal issues and problems that students faced on a daily basis. All these resulted in deterioration of the students’ mental and physical health. With a view to addressing these issues we set up an Erasmus+ mobility project in 2022 and 2023 for students and staff by the title Let’s activate ourselves!
