Objectives

We wanted students and teachers to achieve the following: 1. learn about the educational system, culture and customs of the host country; 2. develop their intercultural awareness by recognizing cultural differences; 3. learn about the teaching methods of the host schools and about functioning of companies abroad; 4. get acquainted with the latest technologies and improve their ICT skills; 6. make a model for choosing modules of the second technical subject; 8. improve their teamworking skills; 8. make our school more recognisable; 9. develop teaching contents to be used class; 9. broaden the horizons of all the participants; 10. record the impact of technology on the environment.

Background

The teaching staff of our school are convinced that taking part in an international project is an excellent way to take our school to a higher level. The students participating in the project attend a general secondary technical school (Tehniška gimnazija) that is part a big school centre, Šolski center Nova Gorica, which educates and trains students in many vocational fields, so the students of tehniška gimnazija get both, academic general education and knowledge of engineering. By carrying out the mobility activities, we wanted our students and teachers to gain new knowledge and skills of team work, new technologies, and to gain work placement experience in a foreign company. We wanted our students to have the opportunity to practice a foreign language (English) and enable them to get to know school systems and cultural background of the host countries. Our goal was also to develop new teaching methods and materials. We celebrated the 25th anniversary of the general technical secondary school program in 2022. We wanted the project to contribute to the school's reputation and increase the interest in technology, and consequently enroll more students in the future.
