Background

Secondary School Slovenska Bistrica implements various educational programmes: the secondary vocational education programme trader - seller, the secondary vocational education programme - economic technician and since September 2016 also the metallurgical technician programme and the general education programme - grammar school. The school is located in the centre of Slovenska Bistrica. Due to the development of the metal processing industry in the town itself, the demand for personnel from the field of mechanical engineering and metal processing has increased in recent years. In close cooperation and support of Impol 2000, d. d. , we are the second school in Slovenia to start the metallurgical technician programme. As we want to enable students of metallurgical and economic engineering, besides developing key competences - acquiring theoretical knowledge, developing working skills, communication, getting to know other countries, cultures and transferring practice from abroad to their home environment, we offer them the opportunity to participate in international projects such as Erasmus+ mobility.
