The long-term development program of our school, School of Economics Celje, Vocational College for the period 2021-2027, includes the internationalization strategy. Participation in the Erasmus+ programs enables us to achieve the goals from the strategy through the international exchange of students and lecturers. Students: we wanted to address most of the priorities of the Erasmus chart for higher education, which cover the most important general and specific objectives of Erasmus+ program, as well as its priorities. Based on the specifics of our school, (vocational college), which are a very low number of students as well as full lecturers, we had to concentrate on the realistic goals such as: engaging more students for the work placement and improving their foreign language skills in English as their first foreign language. Our students mostly come from vocational secondary schools and the level of their competencies, according to the Common European Framework for languages is usually A2 or B1, depending on the competence. Only a few of them have level B2, almost none C1. Based on the number of years of learning English, it should be at least B2 for all the competencies. So, it was our goal to improve all the competencies, first of all oral and written business communication. Since most of our students come from rural environments, and also live with their parents during their studies at our school, it was/is our goal to encourage them to go abroad and broaden their horizons, get accustomed to and learn about other cultures and enhance tolerance towards other customs, ways of life, business etiquette. Help them with facing, coping and dealing with fears connected with spending time alone in a foreign environment appropriately Help them become more independent in resolving tasks and problems at work in a foreign country. Achieving that goal would enhance their chances of getting a job in good companies. When it comes to staff, the main goal was to integrate more colleagues, first of all the ones who never took part at offered mobilities (training/teaching). We also wanted to encourage more lecturers especially for teaching mobility, because that experience changes the perspectives, offers a complete different We wanted to improve the level of spoken and written English, because that is the direct connection between taking part at Erasmus+ mobility. The fear of not being good enough in English is the main cause of staying in Slovenia. We wanted to encourage staff other than lecturers for mobility. We wanted to encourage both students and staff to travel green. It was our goal to keep partner institutions we have already successfully worked with and to extend their number. We would like to have a higher number of incoming lecturers and students.
