The Higher Vocational College of the Nova Gorica School Center offers programs in Computer Science and Informatics (updated in 2024), Mechatronics, and Rural and Landscape Management. Consequently, we are focused on designing activities and projects that generate synergistic effects in all three areas. In 2023, we updated the strategy for the Erasmus+ program, aiming to develop a comprehensive approach that combines the use of digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, and robotics, while also supporting the green transition, the development of critical evaluation, creativity, innovation, and intuition. The strategy ensures equal opportunities for all participants, especially students and staff with fewer opportunities. The strategy is written and publicly available at: https://vss.scng.si/projekti/erasmus/. Despite numerous activities in the past, we had not managed to realize mobility involving participants with fewer opportunities before the 2022 project. For this reason, in the 2022 project, we prioritized the inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities. The trend of employers seeking employees even before students of Computer Science and Mechatronics complete their studies was further highlighted in the 2022 project. Students are increasingly choosing to complete their practical training with their future employer, which has led to a significant decline in interest in Erasmus+ mobility. As a result, we continued to raise awareness among employers during the project, encouraging them to promote active participation in Erasmus+ mobility to their students. We are aware that Nova Gorica is not a location that attracts students and staff on its own. Therefore, as a school, we must put in much more effort and work to remain attractive to our partners. Our goal is to continue offering content-rich and high-quality mobility opportunities and to provide above-standard services that will further increase the number of incoming students. In doing so, we also increase the opportunities for our students to participate in high-quality SMP mobility programs. We also planned to expand our partnerships in terms of international mobility. Unfortunately, our partner from Singapore canceled the already agreed six-day international STT mobility at the last moment.
