The basic idea of the mobility project was to enable students to do their work placement abroad, gain important experiences in a new working environment and contribute to working processes at the company they do their placement at with their theoretical knowledge and previous working experiences. Furthermore, they improve their foreign language as well as communication skills and self-confidence. Moreover, they learn about different customs, traditions and cultures and experience the idea of being part of the EU with equal opportunities. Staff should have the opportunity to compare working procedures, share ideas and opinions with others, meet new people and make new contacts for further projects but also improve foreign language skills. The idea of the blended intensive programme was to invite students from different countries to share opinions and views on sustainable tourism in their towns, regions and countries. It should give them the opportunity to present sustainable tourism activities from their countries, learn about similar activities in Slovenia, find out about nature conservation and biodiversity from experts in the region, take part in workshops and discuss different ideas on the topic with their fellow students.
