With the mobility project submitted in response to the 2022 call, our aim was to provide our staff and students with opportunities to enhance various key competencies across different professional and personal areas. Our primary goal was to support their development through experiences gained in an international environment, which would contribute to a long-term upgrade of their skills and, consequently, improve their career prospects in a competitive job market. The mobility project between program and partner countries was designed to elevate the quality of both teaching and learning. By increasing exchanges between our institution and partner institutions, we aimed to share best practices, acquire new knowledge, and develop innovative pedagogical approaches. Strengthening these international connections has laid a solid foundation for long-term cooperation across various academic, research, and professional fields, which is crucial for the continued internationalization of the University of Nova Gorica. One of the key objectives of the University of Nova Gorica is to increase mobility for staff, and especially students, across all levels by at least a third. To achieve this, we established an open-call application process, providing greater flexibility in planning mobilities. With this approach, we sought to foster collaboration with universities and organizations from a broader European and global context and to enable a wider range of participants. We have also committed to continuously enhancing the quality of teaching, research, and innovation, ensuring an environment where mobility and international collaborations become an integral part of the academic experience. In essence, through this project, we aimed to strengthen the University of Nova Gorica as a globally recognized institution that offers its students and staff access to diverse experiences, new knowledge, and valuable professional networks—key elements for their personal and professional growth and for contributing to the development of the broader community.
