Our motivation for this project was formed from a needs analysis of the partner organisations and their interest in activities related to environmental protection and the strengthening of green skills in pre-school children and children in the first six years of primary school. While all partner organisations have been involved in a number of national projects on ecology for a number of years, each in its own way trying to create a change of habits among employees and children, there has been no significant progress due to a lack of innovative and creative approaches. So we decided to join forces and pool our knowledge to tackle the issue in a new way. In a fresh, creative and, above all, modern way. The needs we addressed were: an increased knowledge and awareness of environmental issues among teachers, children and families, collaborative efforts among parts to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies, a combination of theory and practice that ensures comprehensive learning for teachers and children, activities designed to engage children actively and make them feel important in the effort toward a cleaner environment and a way for preschool teachers and teachers to integrate environmental topics more frequently.
