Objectives

The initial goal of our project was to enable a meeting of experts and practitioners from the field of work with vulnerable groups, thereby enabling informal learning for the participants and the opportunity for the emergence and exchange of ideas and practices that will enable the young people with whom the participants work on a daily basis to create new, positive, long-term life experiences. We carried out activities: mobility of youth workers in the form of the conference "CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES OF WORKING WITH AT-RISK YOUTH" and Mobility of youth workers from the Jarše Youth Center to Berlin. Both conference participants and partner organizations were chosen from among youth workers and organizations that work with vulnerable young people or groups on the margins. We were looking for partners who implement and present youth empowerment practices while strengthening strengths and reducing deficits. When designing, we followed the principles of informal learning, where we opened spaces for the exchange of ideas, and at the same time strengthened European values in general, and specifically with an emphasis on the goal of an inclusive society for all, which offers young people (and everyone else) support for achieving goals regardless of their family background and social environment. In cooperation with youth workers and other participants, we co-created a program of quality content. We presented the Erasmus+ programs and the possibilities that they offer. We helped to create many connections between different organizations from abroad. With the project International Conference Contemporary Challenges of Work with Young People from Vulnerable Groups, we strengthened the cooperation, exchange and evaluation of experience and knowledge of national and international organizations in the field of youth work. The preparatory visit to the conference significantly contributed to the quality of its implementation. We enabled the participants to learn informally, exchange good practices and approach the values of the European Union through presentations of countries and various innovative and inclusive projects in the field of work with young people. With the mobility of youth workers activity, we wanted to strengthen cooperation, exchange and evaluation of experience and knowledge between organizations in the field of youth work in Berlin and our institution. With our visit to the organizations in Berlin, we further increased cooperation between the visited organizations and motivated them to join the Erasmus+ program and start thinking about more in-depth international cooperation (organization and execution of youth exchanges, other mobility of youth workers, creation of ESE projects,...) . We offered the participants the possibility of informal learning, familiarization with project work with the aim of acquiring new skills, competences and strengthening their strong points. Through the activity, we influenced a greater connection between youth workers from MD Jarša and the visited organizations in Berlin, thereby indirectly influencing an inclusive society and providing the basis for greater connectivity with young people from different cultural backgrounds.
