Objectives

The main goal of the entire multi-year accredited project is the application of environmental protection topics to various areas of youth work. The activity/mobility implementation program in 2022/2023 was based on topics where the ZOJA association has professional experience. These are the efficient use of energy (URE), renewable energy sources (URE), climate change, ecological tourism and organic food production, respectively. locally produced food. At the same time, we have implicated different spectrums of environmental protection in different areas (education, awareness, green technologies, entrepreneurship, organically produced food...). We have also shown how all of the above can be applied when involving young people with fewer opportunities. Only these were in the majority of the activities carried out this year, as we included in the project to a large extent organizations from countries with a worse economic situation and with pronounced political situations (repressive regimes, war), which affect the functioning of youth organizations. We devoted special attention or a role to young people. We looked for ways to involve them as actively as possible in activity/mobility processes and how to present them with topics so that they will find themselves in them as future environmentalists, potential entrepreneurs and youth workers. The entrepreneurial component was particularly evident in the 'job shadowing' activity, where we learned about different ways of entrepreneurship in the field of locally produced food and eco-tourism. The development of environmental competences and the development of young people and youth workers was important and prominent in the other two activities. In youth worker mobility (MMD) and youth exchange (MI). At MI, the participants also learned about green technologies. Young people who were part of our target groups represent the potential to become active environmentalists in the future. Both through activities in organizations as well as in private and/or business councils. By participating in our activities, they got an insight into what opportunities they have as active young people and active environmentalists. Both in their organizations and in their environment where they live. They also saw what entrepreneurial and employment opportunities were offered to them. To this end, we presented them with various areas of environmental protection and the ways or possibilities they have as young people to find themselves in this field in the future as a profession or in entrepreneurial fields. Environmental professions are deficit professions. At the same time, we expect that as people who are professionally engaged in environmental protection, they will pass on their knowledge and example to others in the future. Both through activities in societies and in life in general.
