With the project, we wanted to draw attention to the position of members of the LGBTQ+ community in the participating countries to young people connected through various organizations from different countries. We thought the topic was particularly important, interesting and relevant in today's time, when intolerance and hate speech against various members of minorities and groups of people is increasing. Because we believe that the problems and challenges faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community deserve more attention, we decided to prepare this project. By raising awareness among the local, regional and national public, we strive to change the attitude towards LGBTQ+ members and to build a society where every identity is legitimate. As a result, we want to live in an accepting and open society where members of the LGBTQ+ community will not feel threatened because of their sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity or any other personal circumstance. This is how we approached the general public with our youth exchange, tried to bring LGBTQ+ topics closer to them and influence greater tolerance in society and acceptance of members of the LGBTQ+ community. The goals of the project were: - to find out what problems LGBTQ+ members face in different areas of life; - to find out what the position of the LGBTQ+ community is (rights, history, openness/closedness, acceptance by society; - increasing public awareness and information about the topic, about the problems and challenges of LGBTQ+ members; - promoting tolerance, acceptance of difference and diversity among young people and the public; - promoting informal learning, critical thinking and improving the competences (lifelong learning) of young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities; - promoting intercultural dialogue, building and strengthening European identity and values among young people; - increasing the awareness of young people about various Erasmus+ projects and other opportunities are available to them, - encouraging young people to continue their education, to participate in other projects, to active citizenship.
