Objectives

Understanding the media and media content is very important for young people today. Especially critical thinking about the information they have access to. It is important that young people are able to independently form their own opinion by analyzing the information received. For this reason, the current project was created, as we, together with the partner organizations and young members, were convinced that the topic would be of great benefit to all participants, which we confirmed through the implementation. Since there is a lot of misleading information and content in the media today, we equipped young people with the knowledge and skills to properly filter this information and process it critically. We also enabled young people to develop their key competencies and acquire new knowledge, skills and abilities. They were actively involved throughout the entire project, and at the same time we taught them how to monitor, evaluate and record the acquired knowledge. Our project was also very closely related to the 4th European youth goal - information and constructive dialogue. This goal states that young people have difficulty verifying the accuracy and reliability of information. Therefore, it is necessary to adequately equip young people to navigate in the media space and to participate in a constructive dialogue. The project partners and the participants of the project are convinced that with the implementation of this project we managed to take a step in the right direction to achieve this goal.
