Objectives

With the project "All Included," we aimed to achieve several key objectives. Within the project, we focused on the pressing issue of social exclusion and the integration of people with special needs and young individuals with fewer opportunities into society. We noticed that people often focus solely on physically disabled and mentally challenged individuals, forgetting that there are other forms of 'special needs,' which we addressed in the project. Our motivation for implementing the project stemmed from observing the deterioration in the quality of life due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which heightened social exclusion, stereotyping, and discrimination of individuals. The project was proposed by young individuals actively involved in the Multimedia Team at the Institute for Youth and Sports in Trbovlje and was carried out with the assistance of the project coordinator and facilitator. As part of the project, we collaborated with partners from three countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, and North Macedonia, who also recognized the importance of social integration in society. Strengthening tolerance became one of the key tasks, contributing to the reduction and prevention of radicalization among young people. We conducted two youth exchanges, the first in Bugojno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the second in Trbovlje, Slovenia. The project was designed to provide young people with knowledge in media production, which served as the central methodology of the project. We also included digital skills, project management, and other competencies that will help participants enter the job market. Simultaneously, the project provided an opportunity for young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in an international project, gain new experiences, and acquire knowledge in the areas of active citizenship, European citizenship, intergenerational dialogue, social inclusion, and tolerance. The primary objectives of the project, based on best practices in youth work, included involving young people with fewer opportunities in international activities, raising awareness about the importance of social inclusion, strengthening the intercultural competences of young people, empowering youth through acquired competencies, and promoting active citizenship among all participants. The youth exchanges helped increase awareness among young people about the consequences of social exclusion. The project's goals were: - To create a fictional film and become acquainted with the entire production process (scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, and editing) with a focus on the mentioned theme. - To become more aware of the consequences of social exclusion. - To become more tolerant of others.
