Objectives

It is estimated that by 2050, more than 10.6 billion people will live on Earth, producing 43.08 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Compared to the metric of 35.3 billion tons of carbon dioxide that we as a society produced in 2018, Therefore, the community, especially the youth, must learn to live without using so many resources, given their limitations and increasing consumption year by year. Following the release (August 9, 2021) of a "RED ALERT FOR HUMANITY" report by the UN, which concluded that agreement on the "Paris" agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C is now unachievable, We have realized that the problem of the "warm beam" effect is much bigger than people think, that there is no time for this, that it is a problem that will be solved by the state, the economy, and industry, the European Union, the United Nations, or any other world power, and that people, especially young people, should be more involved in the "fight" against pollution. With the youth exchange, we wanted to achieve the following goals together with 30 young people and five youth leaders from five different countries: • Raising awareness about pollution and global warming through interactive workshops and meetings; • educating young people on how to calculate their carbon footprint and how to reduce it; • creation of international environmental posters and slogans, which will be made from recycled material to raise awareness; • Empowering young people to self-initiate an ecological campaign in their local community; • Promote non-formal education and Erasmus+ as instruments of support for youth empowerment; • awareness and understanding of participants about other cultures and countries, which offers them the opportunity to build networks of international contacts and participate in social activities that develop a sense of the euro.
