Objectives

In this project, we wanted to connect young people from the European Union countries and third countries (Montenegro, Serbia, Italy and Russia). Through the youth exchange aimed at intercultural cooperation, we wanted to spend the most time on environmental issues, care for natures, sustainability care for physical and mental health, and at the same time, the promotion of European values. The project addressed the importance of combating climate and environmental change. It also touched on the topic of social exclusion, emphasized the importance of health and well-being for young people, and encouraged young people to find solutions to the aforementioned challenges. Due to the importance of environmental issues among young people, concern for physical and mental health, and the social inclusion of young people, the goals of the project were as follows: 1. To investigate how creative activities can help to improve the well-being of young people. 2. To create an open forum for discussing environmental awareness topics in an international group. The conversations were led by young people, because we wanted to empower them through the project so that they can express their opinions, share their experiences and suggestions. 3. To enable the experience of coexistence with nature, which will encourage young people to act more sustainably and take care of nature. 4. Using the circus method, explore and emphasize the importance of physical and mental health. 5. Develop practical skills for creating and facilitating well-being in a creative and engaging environment. 6. To support and enable young people to socialize and feel more connected to young people from other cultures, promoting social inclusion, solidarity, European identity and intercultural dialogue. Circus is an international language that helps people understand each other, regardless of their religious, political or national origins. Circus is a form of physical activity performed in a non-competitive, creative and supportive environment, making it an effective tool for reaching and engaging young people. Circus activity enables young people and children to have positive life experiences and supports their spiritual well-being (Kinnunen & Lidman 2013).
