The project "Raising Young Changemakers" focused on youth unemployment, support for the professional development of youth workers and the development of quality youth work. The main training activity for youth workers brought together 20 participants from 7 EU countries, who spent 10 days collaborating and exchanging knowledge about good practices in youth work related to the promotion of entrepreneurship and the digital transition for young people. The purpose of the project was to equip our youth workers with skills and competences, with the help of which they could implement modern and innovative educational activities for young people, equip them with digital business skills and prepare them for the labor market or their first business steps. The main goal of the project was thus to combat youth unemployment in the EU through the implementation of training that would support the professional development of youth workers and also contribute to the development of the partner organizations involved. The other goals of the project were: - enabling participants to acquire skills and competences that will help them design new approaches and informal educational activities and materials in working with young people, with the aim of preparing them for their first business steps and becoming more competitive in today's labor market, as well as during the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic; - developing the skills of youth workers in the form of informal education (workshops, seminars, games, challenges, exercises, quizzes etc.); - promotion of green and digital transformation throughout all phases of the project, which would help everyone involved in further work in their environments; - inspiring future mentors to start similar activities in their local areas, especially at local schools and faculties; - raising awareness among youth workers about the strategy and goals of the EU for young people; - empowering youth workers to become active European citizens; - promotion of mobility opportunities for youth workers through the entire organization of the training course; - promotion of European mutual cooperation in the field of youth; - achieving greater capacity of partner organizations to operate at the international level; - updating our activities, management and organizational capabilities by creating a strong and stable partnership. By carrying out this project, we connected with partners from the EU, with whom we shared practical advice and experience. We also believe that the training helped the participants to develop their professional competences and that they became more productive and creative in their youth work.
