Objectives

Veles is a sustainable lifestyle institute, spreading knowledge by offering a holistic experience of everyday life on a sustainably run farm. Through the development of the Yes to Sustainability (YTS) network, the needs of young people and youth workers have emerged, which our organisation, as one of the initial initiators of this network, has addressed through the 'Leader in Me' training in 2019 and then, with demand and upgrading of the content, the continuation of the training in 2021 'Leader in Me 2.0' and in 2022 'Leader in Me 3.0'. Also, following the successful feedback of the last training, we are organising a new one in 2023. Main project objectives achieved: To enable the participating youth workers, who have just embarked on this path, to develop and strengthen skills that will empower them in their role. to present different methods for working with young people that the youth leaders will be able to try out and then implement in their own work to equip participants with methods and techniques for working with young people in the field of sustainable development so that, after the training, they can disseminate what they have learned to their colleagues in their own organisations, thus enabling the quality of the organisation's work to develop and grow to give young youth workers access to experience of the sustainable environment as an inspiring learning environment to support the participating organisations in the joint planning and implementation of projects within the established YTS network, with the aim of extending beyond the project partnership. The project meets the objectives of the ERASMUS+ programme by addressing the needs of the participating organisations and individual participants in an appropriate way. The project involves participants with fewer opportunities (geographical, economic, educational, social barriers). Within this framework, tolerance and respect for each other and, of course, additional support is ensured and promoted. The very diversity of the partnership ensured the widening of the network, while promoting diversity and intercultural and interreligious dialogue through group work. We also wanted to enable an important live action component again in the given circumstances and to carry out a residential training supported by digitisation with meetings before and after the activity, as in the previous year.
