Objectives

The purpose of the project was to use the art of storytelling to bring nature - specifically wetlands - closer to youth workers and, consequently, to young people, which we wanted to achieve by jointly researching various activities and exercises in this area. For this purpose, we: 1.) during the performance, we put together an inspiring brochure, which we designed and distributed in e-format to youth and environmental protection organizations. 2.) With the participants, we performed the magic ritual "Council of all beings" in the forest. 3.) Made an inspirational video that served as a pre-promotion for the brochure. 4.) We connected the diversity of our practices, storytelling for nature, clowns, traditional stories in the cauldron of the wetland, and in the spirit of promoting intercultural understanding and celebrating diversity, we held a final performance by the participants: The performance was aimed at the local community, in which we told the stories that we created in contact with the wetland. 5.) We connected the group into a community that co-creates on all levels and thus gave the participants the experience of living together in nature: We took care of the garden and gathered and prepared food from it, took care of the space, cleaned the stable above which we stayed, took care of the fire in the evenings as for the stories we shared. Through the exercises, we developed sensitivity and compassion and, inspired by the herd we lived with, learned physical communication.Achieved goal of the project: 1.) We organized and carried out an educational project and started international cooperation with it 2.) We carried out the final evening of telling the stories of the project participants, thereby presenting the project and holding an event that contributed to raising awareness for the preservation of wetlands, local volunteers and people who stand up for it, and it is a reward for their efforts. 3.) We have set up a network of partners who will introduce the practice into their work environment and upgrade and develop it together with us. 4.) We have published an e-brochure of exercises for getting closer to nature intended for young people and everyone who works with them, as well as environmental organizations. 5.) One of the goals of the project was to raise awareness of the current state of the Earth's environment and climate change and the importance of nature conservation. We learned in detail the importance of wetlands for dealing with climate change.
