The Toolbox Project was implemented in response to the needs of partners who participated in the Ego trip project in 2019, under the auspices of the Youth Center Krško. The main idea of the previous project was to empower youth workers in the field of mental health in the youth sector, with an emphasis on using the "learning by doing" method to test various approaches. After the successful completion of the initial project, youth workers decided to expand and upgrade the project idea and implement it once again. At that time, project leaders and implementers came together under the auspices of the Optimal Institute and prepared an enhanced Toolbox project. Partners collaborated to develop a training program, which also included the establishment of a web platform for working with young people in the field of mental health. The first part of the project was aimed at youth workers who interact with young people on a daily basis. The training was designed to facilitate discussions, debates, and conversations among youth workers about self-esteem. With the help of interactive methods and new knowledge gained during the training, youth workers were empowered to strengthen, elevate, and nurture positive self-esteem among young people in their environment. As part of the project, a web platform was created, allowing for the critical evaluation of methods for working with young people in the field of mental health. This platform serves as a library of ideas for youth workers, where they can find suitable methods based on the needs of individual groups or individuals they work with. The platform is accessible to a wide group of youth workers and will continue to be open for further development even after the project's conclusion. The main objectives of the Toolbox project were as follows: Promoting dialogue, debate, and conversation on important topics, such as positive self-esteem. Empowering youth workers and those operating in the youth sector with appropriate methods and competencies for working with young people. Creating a platform where all methods of working with young people in the field of mental health are critically evaluated. Enabling the expansion of the platform and sharing of knowledge among youth workers throughout Europe.
