The goal of the project was to raise awareness among youth workers and activists with the new realities of young people and the consequences that young people have suffered in the last two and a half years, mainly due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The goal was also to equip youth workers and activists with new tools and approaches in addressing these new inequalities in youth work and beyond. According to many experts, the COVID-19 pandemic has deepened existing global inequalities. Of particular concern is the deepening vulnerability of children due to poverty, inequality, social exclusion, violence and hardship. Measures against covid-19 have focused on closing public spaces, testing and vaccination, which has (and will) have many long-term consequences for young people. Therefore, in the project, we payed special attention to the new realities of young people, and to familiarize youth workers and activists with these new realities. In the first phase of the project, we planned to gather teams of youth workers and activists from three European countries for the introductory training. During the five-day training, the plan was to conduct interactive workshops on the new inequalities in our countries, through covid-19 and also through a global prism, to analyze and compare the positions of vulnerable groups and their needs, and at the same time to test new approaches to address new inequalities for informal work with groups of young people , as well as mitigating the consequences and new hardships. In the second phase of the project, we planned to organize a training where youth workers and activists from all three countries would explore how to communicate, face and oppose inequalities. In this phase, each team should learn about ethical communication, advocacy for vulnerable groups and social change, and good (historical) practices from all countries.
