The project aimed to establish a system of youth dialogue ambassadors and empower a group of 5-6 youth dialogue ambassadors to gradually take on more active and leadership roles within the Youth Dialogue Project (EUYD). This was designed to move them up the ladder of youth participation, from engagement in dialogue to co-decision-making and taking full responsibility for the ambassador project, in collaboration with the Youth Council of Slovenia and the National Working Group for Youth Dialogue (NWG/NDS). Among the specific project objectives were: Equip a group of 5-6 ambassadors with mentorship and practical experience to independently plan projects, project activities, and pursue the goals of youth dialogue. Collaborate with ambassadors and a partner organization (Socialna akademija) to plan and design at least 2 innovative, interactive methods of youth dialogue for EUYD activities. Conduct dialogues involving at least 80 young individuals and 16 decision-makers at the local level on topics related to sustainable development and an inclusive society, and incorporate their recommendations into the Slovenian conclusions of the 9th cycle of EUYD. The aim was also to present these conclusions at European Youth Conferences in the Czech Republic in the summer of 2022 and in Sweden at the beginning of 2023. Present the conclusions of the 9th cycle of EUYD to at least 5 newly elected parliamentary parties through a dialogue between ambassadors and national decision-makers, and engage these parties in committing to their implementation. Equip young ambassadors with knowledge and experience to independently and confidently present the Slovenian conclusions of the 9th cycle at future European Youth Conferences. Utilize the acquired experience to enable current ambassadors, in collaboration with NDS and MSS, to shape the future of the EUYD ambassador model in Slovenia for the 10th cycle and jointly submit a new project proposal in spring 2023.
