1. STRUCTURED COURSES help participants gain knowledge about innovative education methods, develop communication skills, become familiar with the latest technologies and methods in the field of ELT and ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and increase their overall competence. 2. COACHING SKILLS DEVELOPMENT will help teachers focus on overcoming any possible obstacles that prevent them from further developing their personal and professional potential. They can further apply this knowledge in teaching and help students overcome barriers in learning and using the language. 3. EXCHANGE OF BEST PRACTICE takes place on a daily basis within groups of teachers from all over the world. This can lead to problem solving/finding new solutions/developing new teaching or learning programs. It will help us improve our processes and systems (testing, diagnostics, needs analysis, etc.). 4. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION will help us in further development and in the search for new partners for cooperation within the activities we organize - teacher training, international workshops and conferences and other projects.
We are a language center that specializes in teaching English. Since 2009 in Bratislava, we have been providing professional and high-quality English language courses for students with different goals and focus, from beginners to advanced, individual and group courses, conversation classes, free workshops for the general public, clubs with different topics, general and professional English and also face-to-face, online and hybrid courses. At the same time, we are convinced that high-quality performance can only be achieved in an environment in which we support further education and the creation of a teaching community, which is why we organize a conference for teachers every year (https://thebridge.sk/en/course/teachers-day-conference- for-englishteachers/), we created the HLT.Digital project (https://hlt.digital/) under the Erasmus program and provide structured courses for teachers. In the project, we take into account the need for highly qualified English teachers who are dedicated to their profession and oriented towards lifelong learning. We focus on supporting our lecturers in systematic growth and development in the context of the EU.
