We wanted to improve the educational process by incorporating new teaching strategies and modern methods into the teacher´s practice so that we could support respectful relationship between the teacher and the student, trust and safety in the classroom, systematic development of life skills. We wanted to get practical instructions for using the Flipped Learning method in teaching. It is learning focused on the student, on what the student already knows, and building new knowledge on his experiences. At school, the student has more time for practical tasks and discussion with the teacher. During the Group Mobility we expected our students would meet peers from other cultures and social environments, communicate in English language, and we hoped to increase their independence and responsibility. We wanted to connect emotions and conscious thinking, so that children would be more creative, open, learn to communicate in a cultured way, be able to work for a common goal. We wanted to establish a new partnership with a Catholic school, by sharing experiences, continue to focus on the process of the student's personal growth, his values and life attitudes.
Our primary school of Sv. Andreja Svorada a Benedikta is a Christian-Catholic church school that fulfills the tasks arising from the School Education Program and at the same time prepares activities focused on the spiritual dimension, development of values and charitable events. The school tries to be not only a place where students spend part of the working day, but also a space where they feel good, free and creative, where they can develop their talents and their spirit. We focus on the process of the student's personal growth, his values and life attitudes. Our goal is to help students discover the potential they have been given and show them the way to use it. We try to be a school where students can discuss, compare, think and evaluate. The teacher's task is to model the environment in the classroom and provide a lot of experimenting, cooperation and creation.
