We wanted to involve pupils much more in the teaching process and motivate them to learn, we wanted to improve teachers' knowledge not only in the area of teaching languages, but also in other subjects, we wanted the students to learn to connect the knowledge gained in one subject to other subjects and by participating in this project we wanted to increase the European awareness of the school, which we also succeeded in implementing the international projects Etwinning and Strategic Partnerships abroad. Our goal was to maintain the school's ranking compared to other schools, which we succeeded in doing. The teachers who participated in the mobilities could grow professionally and acquire new knowledge in the field of innovative methods and forms of teaching. After the mobilities, the teachers taught more creatively using ICT technologies and with the new materials they acquired during the mobilities, or were able to create them independently. We increased the level of knowledge of pupils and teachers not only in the field of foreign languages.
We are an elementary school with a kindergarten at Školská 49 in Žilina, Závodie district. We are a school focused on sports especially football and languages. We want the educational results of our students to improve. We are trying to teach students of connection knowledge with real life. We teach them to connect knowledge gained in one subject to of the second subject. We monitor whether the pupils' results are improving. We want our students to improve in testing, competitions, in the Olympics. We involved four participants in the project, primarily teachers who teach not only the English language but also another subject. It was due to the connection of knowledge within subjects. This process does not last for a short time, but for a longer period of time and cannot be achieved in one year. That is why we want to continue this project in the future in order to fulfill our goal.
