The goal of the project was to achieve greater motivation among English language teachers to teach this language using new methods, to be more flexible in the language, to find connections between other subjects and to use language as a tool to engage students more in class and improve their language skills - to expand their vocabulary, to see more real image why learn a foreign language. The goal was also to increase cooperation between colleagues, including those who do not teach a foreign language at school, and to lead pupils to this cooperation as well. We also wanted to improve the planning, management and administration of international school projects and mobilities among the participants of the project and thus acquire new partner schools for these projects. The working language of international projects is mainly English, but we also try to make new contacts with schools in other countries, with whom we communicate not only in English, although we consider it necessary to constantly improve and learn something new from the methodology and teach in a more engaging and diverse way, so that we also motivated the students at school.
Our school is a Slovak elementary school where English is taught as the first foreign language from the first grade to the ninth grade. In the fifth and sixth grades, we increased one hour of English to reinforce teaching and tried to use new textbooks in these two grades. With our Erasmus+ project, we wanted to strengthen the motivation of English language teachers in the entire school from the first to the ninth grade, give them the opportunity to study new methods, compare their practice with practice in other countries, and at the same time increase students' interest in the English language by using the new Clil method on At the school, we will introduce the connection of other subjects to the teaching of the English language, improve their language readiness and connect it with the real use of the language outside the classroom. We also wanted to strengthen the cooperation of teachers of other subjects and involve them in teaching and connect inter-subject relationships.
