The aim of our project was to achieve a number of important results and objectives: 1. We wanted to provide students with the tools, techniques and understanding needed to take care of their mental health and manage stress. Our intention was for pupils to feel supported and know how to deal effectively with their emotional needs. 2. Acquiring coping skills: we sought to equip pupils with the tools to effectively manage a variety of stressful situations they may encounter at school, in the family, and in everyday life. We wanted to prepare them to adapt and respond to challenges and pressures. 3. Strengthening intercultural communication and cooperation. The aim was to promote tolerance, openness and mutual understanding between different cultures and nations. 4. Developing soft skills: In addition to improving mental health, we also sought to develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking and empathy in our pupils. These skills are important for success not only in school, but also in future life and careers.
The link between our project and our organisation is that we have sought to integrate the topic of mental health into the educational environment of our school. The organisation of project activities and mobilities in Spain, Germany and Hungary allowed us to offer our pupils rich experiences and tools to improve their mental health and stress management. In this way, we have strengthened our organisation as a place where the focus is not only on the academic, but also on the mental and emotional development of our pupils. This theme is also very closely linked to the philosophy of our school, where for several years (especially since the pandemic) we have been working through the school's support team (school psychologist, social educator, special educator and teaching assistants) to improve the mental health of both pupils and teachers through various preventive and intervention activities and projects. The Erasmus+ project has therefore only developed in a very logical and systematic way what a dedicated team of people has been working on in the school for the last 4 years, in collaboration with the school school management and the teachers.
