The students got in touch with the technical parameters of the system, operating modes, user service, and the way of programming and configuring this system. Pupils based on these new professional and by this time on very attractive technologies will have a greater opportunity to apply their knowledge on the job market. As these technologies are increasingly in demand. The priority of our school is to continue to maintain growth in this area andto prepare high-quality professionals. For the teachers was the main goal to acquire new professional competences in the teaching of this issue. The acquired knowledge will be used in the future for the innovation of the educational programs and the creation of teaching materials.

Background

Our school is one of the largest schools in the Žilina self-governing region. We educate students in the field of mechanical engineering, where we are the center for vocational education and training in mechanical engineering and the other metalworking production. We also have studying and teaching departments focused on electrical engineering. As a part of the ERASMUS + project, we have decided to make these fields more attractive and, above it all, to expand the portfolio of the knowledge and skills of our students with new technologies. Students learn basic skills in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and programming in the workshops at our school, and the professional internship in the workshops on the Secondary Industrial School in Chrudim where we have built from the previous knowledge. It expanded them with new competencies in the field of smart home management. This project is based on the long-term cooperation with this school in previous professional projects. As a part of the modernization of electrical engineering departments, our school purchased devices for controlling smart homes. Teachers andvocational training masters have got an idea of how to integrate this new technology into teaching.
