Objectives

The projects that could be implemented thanks to the provided grant were successful. They met the expected goals and were positively evaluated by students and teachers. Some pupils were abroad for the first time, got to know a different environment, a different country and culture thanks to equal access and inclusion of pupils with SEN and pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The projects positively influenced the school climate. Pupils on internships gained new knowledge, learned new activities beyond the framework of the school education plan (SEP) in their field. We have found a new partner who has confirmed mutual cooperation in other projects. The focus of the schools abroad complemented the teaching and study fields taught at our school. The school's participation in the Erasmus+ program positively affects the perception of the school by the public and social partners. All project activities, from the submission of applications, preparation and implementation of activities, to the processing of final reports, were ensured by a team of school workers. Educators involved in project activities acquired new competencies - personal development, increase in professional competencies, new methods and work procedures.

Background

SOŠ J. A. Baťu in Partizánské is a school with a long tradition. In teaching, it applies new methods and forms by introducing active and project-based learning, e-learning, and implements cross-subject integration. The activities that we planned in the project were intended for the study field Programmer of machining and welding machines and equipment and the study fields Cook, Waiter/Waitress and Electrical Mechanic. Pupils are motivated to deepen their competences for better employment on the labor market and in companies. We offer them a link between theoretical and practical teaching by involving experts from practice in teaching. Thanks to this, students gain knowledge and experience in the given field. Because a large percentage of students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and students with special educational needs (SEN) study at the school, it is an important task of the school to create the same opportunities for them as for the other students. The school supports its teachers in lifelong learning also in the form of shadowing. Thanks to the ERASMUS+ project, we have expanded our partnership with schools abroad, which ensure the development of students' and teachers' competencies.
