We have been participating in international competitions for a long time and therefore we thought it was time to move on and take advantage of the opportunity to join the Erasmus+ program and provide our students with lifelong experiences. Based on the acquired knowledge, we wanted to strengthen and spread the good name of our school not only in the surrounding area but also abroad. Today, interest in professional studies is declining among students, but we consider this program to be a very positive tool in helping to reach and motivate students for professional professions. In addition to professional growth, we also wanted to point out the importance of belonging, independence and strengthen the communication skills of our students. The results and enthusiasm of our students showed us that the mobilities served their purpose and it makes sense to continue them. The second important pillar for us was to start developing the methodological skills of our teachers and to acquire knowledge and ideas from abroad that they can then implement at our school. Initially, we wanted to develop their digital skills as we want to progress with the times, for which we consider it necessary that our teachers are also proficient in this sphere.
Our school is the largest Hungarian vocational school, offering a variety of fields through full-time study. Since we belong to a minority group, in addition to acquiring professional knowledge, we place great emphasis on the acquisition of foreign languages, so that our graduates have greater opportunities to apply themselves on the labor market in Slovakia and abroad. The overall context of our project was to strengthen the reputation with the help of international experience through three different mobilities. In addition, we consider it is very important to become part of the Erasmus+ network and to connect with other schools and institutions as effectively as possible. In order to be active members, in addition to organizing our mobilities, we also became a host organization for a foreign vocational school, and thus we tried to fulfill the goals and the meaning of the project defined by us as much as possible and use all forms of connection to spread the good name of our organization.
