The aim of the mobility of students in the field of clothing design was to get to know and get acquainted with the individual steps and process of wool felt production - combing, layering, felting, rolling, drying, cutting, pressing, winding, shortening and subsequently to be able to make felt clothing - skirt, sweater, trousers and felt clothing accessory - headgear, bag, shoes. The aim of the teacher was to integrate the topic of felting and production of felt products into the curriculum of the field of clothing design at our school. Through teaching, we want to keep pace with the constant development of labour market needs in this field. In the field of industrial design, we aimed students to get to know the traditional technique of handmade paper production using recycled materials and to be able to implement it in the current 3D printing technology in order to produce a prototype of a utility object - a bag and an author's design - lampshade. An equally important goal was to increase the level of communication in foreign languages, which we have set as a long-term goal in our school., as well as nternationalization, involvement in international teams, acquisition of foreign knowledge and skills and comparison of cultures.
We are vocational school in the field of art industry, while we are constantly developing and educating ourselves in the field of environmental sustainability across all our departments. For this reason, we chose the project partner schools Liceo Artistico Umberto Boccioni in Milan, Italy for our Industrial Design and Kuressaare Ametikool in Kuressaare, Estonia for Clothing Design as we are interested in the field of use of ecological materials and possibilities of ecological production in both fields, which both of these schools focus on and in which they are pioneers in the field. We are trying to make ecological thinking known in the field of industrial and clothing design. What ecological materials can we use in these fields? What methods of ecological production can we use? What can be done in this way? These were all questions that students had to answer when implementing the output of their mobility.
