The Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica emphasizes the internationalization of its educational, creative and research activities, which is fully in line with its mission and long-term strategic goals. The main goal of the Erasmus+ project was to support the internationalization process of our institution through international cooperation, mobility and building international relations. Through this project we wanted to strengthen our position in the international academic space and actively contribute to the international exchange of ideas, practices and knowledge. Our intention was to broaden the range of possibilities and opportunities for both students and staff to engage in projects with interdisciplinary and international overlap. In doing so, we wanted to enhance the quality of the educational process, foster a creative and research environment, and enrich domestic programs with an international perspective. Another goal was to improve the linguistic, professional and communicative competences of our students and teachers, thus increasing their readiness to function in an international environment. Through mobility, we wanted to foster the exchange of knowledge in artistic research and creative practices with partner universities across Europe. At the same time, we sought to create favorable conditions for international students and educators so that their integration into our programs would also have a positive impact on domestic students, thus fostering their openness to international cooperation and multicultural exchange. Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, we have also been able to develop various spin-off projects that have a positive impact on the academic environment and improve the quality of teaching and research. These projects enable international collaboration and interdisciplinary overlaps that lead to the development of creative activities and artistic practice. At the same time, we have focused on deepening collaboration with our partner universities in the field of arts education and research. This project has strengthened not only mobility but also professional relationships that lead to long-term and stable cooperation in the field of arts and education, contributing to better links between educational, research and cultural institutions.
