Our main goal in implementing this project was to significantly increase the internationalisation of our students and staff. We focused on providing valuable opportunities to gain international experience that would help them develop intercultural competences, broaden their outlook and strengthen their professional networks across borders. By participating in Erasmus+ mobility, our students and staff were able to immerse themselves in different cultural and educational environments, enriching their understanding and approach to study/work. In addition to individual development, we have sought to strengthen our university's overall ability to function effectively in a global context. By encouraging our students and staff to gain international experience, we have sought to foster more globally minded citizens, able to meet the challenges of an increasingly interconnected world. This project was a strategic initiative to ensure that our university remained competitive and innovative in an international environment, benefiting our students, staff and the wider community (city, region, Slovakia). Despite the spill-over of the negative impacts of the pandemic period into this project, we are very pleased that we have been able to secure an increase over the previous project (2021) in all quantitative indicators. In this project we have successfully implemented: 351 mobilities (of which 250 staff mobilities), representing an increase of 90% of the total volume of mobilities, a 255% increase in staff mobility and a 13% increase in student mobility.
